- A prövning assesses knowledge against the full grade criteria for a whole course/level/subject — not a partial catch-up.
- There is no single national registration portal; municipalities and schools organise prövning.
- Adults often use komvux; gymnasium students often use their own school unit (with different rules if they already hold a pass grade).
- Fees and dates are set locally.
